Absorber, not soundproofing — read this so you pick right

Be clear on the job. KK1093 is an absorber: it soaks up reflections inside a room to cut echo and reverb — great for calls, recording, home theater, and noisy hard-surfaced spaces. • NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient): how much sound a material absorbs. Fabric-wrapped polyester panels like this one typically sit around NRC 0.30–0.55 (typical) depending on thickness and the air gap behind them. Thicker, denser absorption panels run higher (roughly NRC 0.70–0.95) — that's the trade-off between a slim, clean wall panel and maximum absorption.
• STC (Sound Transmission Class): how much sound a full wall assembly blocks between rooms. STC describes the wall (studs, drywall, insulation), not a panel mounted on it — so no surface-mounted absorber, ours included, carries a meaningful STC rating.
