Before you order 12 or 24, order 1.

Acoustic panels are a commitment — to a color, a texture, a material. The KK1093 sample exists so you don't have to guess. For $0.99 you get one full-size panel at the exact same specs as the full pack. Hold it. Feel the density. Stick it on your wall. See if the color works in your room.

If it's right, order the full pack with confidence. If it's not, you spent $0.99 to find out — not $69.99.

Request your color — don't leave it to chance

By default, color is assigned randomly from available stock. If you have a specific color in mind, add your preference in the order notes at checkout and we'll do our best to match it.

Black
Dark Gray
Light Blue
Red
Pearl White
Burgundy
Pearl White note: Pearl White panels can develop a slight yellowish tint over time with UV exposure and oxidation. If your room gets direct sunlight, Dark Gray or Black will hold their color significantly better long-term.

What you're getting

Quantity 1 panel (maximum 1 per style — this is a sample, not a pack)
Size 11.8 × 11.8 in (30 × 30 cm)
Thickness 0.2 – 0.3 in (0.5 – 0.7 cm)
Material High-density polyester fabric with acoustic cell structure
Density 200 kg/m³ — structural acoustic performance, not decorative foam
NRC High NRC rated — exact value available on technical data sheet (contact service@arrowzoom.com)
STC Not applicable. These are sound-absorbing panels — they reduce echo and reverb inside a room. They do not block sound between rooms.
Colors available Black, Dark Gray, Light Blue, Red, Pearl White, Burgundy — request your color in order notes
Installation Not self-adhesive. Requires double-sided tape or construction adhesive (see install methods below)
Shipping No tracking on sample-only orders — add any second item to your cart if tracking is required
Full pack 12 or 24 self-adhesive panels — KK1093 full pack, $69.99

What to check when your sample arrives

You have 1 panel. Here's exactly what to test so you can make the full-pack decision with confidence:

  • Color match. Hold it against your wall in the room's actual lighting — daylight, overhead, and lamp. Colors read differently in photos than in person.
  • Texture feel. The fabric surface should feel dense and firm, not soft or flimsy. That density is what gives it acoustic performance.
  • Size in the room. 30 × 30 cm is a specific footprint. Tape it to the wall (don't glue it yet) and step back — confirm the scale works for your layout before committing to a pattern.
  • Adhesion test. Apply double-sided tape to the back corners and press it onto your wall for 24 hours. Then gently pull. This tells you how well it holds on your specific wall surface before you install 12 or 24.
  • Acoustic spot-check. Clap your hands in the room, then clap again with the panel held up against the primary reflection point. Notice the difference — one panel won't transform the room, but you'll hear the absorption effect immediately.

Installation methods

This sample panel is not self-adhesive — the full KK1093 pack comes with self-adhesive backing, but the sample does not. Two methods work:

  1. Double-sided tape (recommended for testing). Apply one piece of double-sided tape to each of the four corners of the panel back. Press firmly onto a clean, dry wall surface. This method is removable and ideal for the sample — you can reposition without damaging the wall.
  2. PL Polyurethane Construction Adhesive (permanent). Apply adhesive in a perimeter line around the back of the panel and in an X pattern across the center. Press onto the wall and hold for 30 seconds. This is the permanent method — do not use on the sample unless you're certain of placement.
Note on the full pack: The KK1093 full pack (12 or 24 panels) comes with self-adhesive backing pre-applied — peel, press, done. The sample does not have this backing. If the sample's material and color work for you, the full pack install will be easier and faster.
Vacuum-sealed arrival: The panel arrives compressed and vacuum-sealed. Unbox it and lay it flat — it will expand to its full 0.5–0.7 cm thickness within 24–48 hours. Don't judge the thickness or firmness until it's fully expanded.

FAQ

Can I choose my color, or is it really random?

You can request a color — add it clearly in the order notes at checkout (e.g. "Please send Black" or "Dark Gray preferred"). We'll fulfill it based on available stock. If your requested color isn't available, we'll send the closest available color. The default without a request is random.

Is this sample self-adhesive?

No — the sample panel does not have self-adhesive backing. Install it with double-sided tape (ideal for testing — repositionable) or PL polyurethane construction adhesive (permanent). The full KK1093 pack comes with self-adhesive backing pre-applied.

Will 1 panel tell me if these work acoustically?

One panel won't transform a room — you need 30–50% wall coverage for meaningful results. But you can hear the absorption effect immediately by holding the panel at the primary reflection point while clapping. It's enough to confirm the material is doing something real, not just decorative.

Why is there no tracking on my sample order?

Sample-only orders ship without tracking to keep the cost at $0.99. If you need a tracked shipment, add any second item to your cart — that triggers standard tracked shipping on the entire order.

Can I order more than one sample?

Maximum 1 piece per sample style. If you want to test multiple colors, you can place separate orders for each color style — add your color preference in the notes for each order.

The panel arrived thin and compressed — is it defective?

No — this is normal. The panels are vacuum-sealed for shipping. Lay the panel flat in open air and allow 24–48 hours for it to expand to its full thickness (0.5–0.7 cm). Don't assess it until it's fully expanded.

How is this different from the full KK1093 pack?

Same material, same specs, same size — one panel vs. 12 or 24. The key difference: the sample is NOT self-adhesive. The full pack comes with self-adhesive backing pre-applied for easy peel-and-press installation. The sample requires double-sided tape or construction adhesive.

Will Pearl White turn yellow?

It can — Pearl White panels are susceptible to yellowing over time with UV exposure and oxidation. This is a known characteristic of light-colored polyester fabric. If your room gets direct sunlight, Dark Gray or Black will hold their color significantly better long-term.

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

What are decibels? 📏

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!

  • 30-40 dB = Soft music, whisper 🎶
  • 60-80 dB = Office noise, traffic 🚗
  • 85-100 dB (HARMFUL) = Subway, shouted convo, chainsaw ⚠️
  • 100-140 dB (DANGEROUS) = Chainsaw, loud concert, racing, shooting range 🚨
