Solid Product

Would like to say that the products that i received from you guys were amazing and worked well. Could have used better looking/ more informative documentation on how to air out / apply water to the foam to make it more dense due to the fact that in shipment it is compressed. Overall satisfied with the results and paid a very good price for what i got. Would have spent double/triple at 'Brand Name' retailers. Will recommend to a friend. Also would make more clear that units don't come shipped with adhesive tape.

I used this will the beautiful material I just reviewed to quit the noises in the wall...that echo from my neighbor's bedroom. These squares drowned out the discord and have brought back my serenity. I used the 3M sticky Velcro attachments so no marks on walls either!

This Stuff Works GREAT!

This stuff works great. It's light-weight but very durable. It makes any space you cover sound more controlled and acoustically enhanced. This is great for the studio or just "keeping the noise down". Only thing I have to stress about these babys is that YOU MUST USE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ADHESIVE... But a staple gun can also do the trick. Hope you found this review useful! :)

Good Value, Just Set Your Expectations accordingly.

The low frequencies weren't dampened nearly as much (if at all) but that makes sense (and was expected) because the tiles are thin and have narrow channels focussed more towards capturing higher frequency noise and static. All in all, combined with adding a few spare tiles in the other hollow doors in the hallway it makes the house quieter and the noise levels more tolerable.

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

What are decibels? 📏

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!
