Worth it!!

These seriously made a difference in my recording quality. I do voice over and set up my home studio in my bedroom. I highly recommend this product, it made an immediate difference! You have to use a lot of these panels for them to work properly. One or two in a room isn't going to do much of anything, but blanketing an entire wall will significantly cut down on echo's and annoying noises in your room. They help prevent sound echoing around a room.

Big difference in sound quality

These panels are exactly as pictured, they come in a 96 pack and I bought some 3m double sided foam tape to apply them to wall. They make a foam tape that is easy to remove from wall without leaving marks or ripping the paint off wall, you will see it listed under the customers also purchased this selection. I attached a test piece to make sure it was easy to remove and it was. I put them up behind my gaming desk that my pc is set up on , this has made a huge difference in the sound quality coming from my soundbar and satellite speakers, as a added benefit the sound in bedroom on opposite side of the wall is not as bad. I recommend trying this out especially if you have a game room or man cave, and installing is easy and quick. I wish I had bought these years ago.

Pleasantly surprised.

Keep in mind I bought these to "soundproof" an office that was turned into baby's room with a 6' x 8' window facing the living room. I covered the window with foam boards, and then attached these to the boards. I know that this isn't soundproofing per se, but the noise drop in the room is wonderful. And the foam is so much lighter than some couch foam that I bought that wouldn't stay up due to it's weight.

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

What are decibels? 📏

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!
